A book worth reading: Programming with the Zend Framework

PHP|Architect's Guide to Programming with the Zend FrameworkI was a little bit tied up with work, having just time to skim my feeds. Within this stream of news I saw that Cal Evans was writing a book about Zend Framework.

Since the Zend Framework is a growing open-source framework on top of PHP 5, and it's components library booming, I am sure that this book will be a reference for anyone implementing the Zend Framework.

If you're interested, you can order your copy at the php|architect's website or read the original post by Cal Evans himself. I already have my order put in place.

  1. yup, already ordered it, even though I'm more of a symfony person. There's several reasons for this:

    a) Cal is a cool guy ;)
    b) I think limiting myself to a single framework is stupid
    c) Zend Framework can easily be integrated into symfony using the sfZendPlugin, so I can most probably use ZF technology in my symfony projects as well

enough reasons for me to get the book. I'm very much looking forward to reading it.
