And company IT provides ...

Detached to a big company in Brussels for a project, one would expect a certain amount of facilities being available.
Unfortunately I'm facing day 2 of being limited by company IT slumber. Since I hate doing nothing I provided a simple switch with extra UTP cables to make sure an online connection was available to me.
Although the company firewall blocks access without user authentication, a random employee account provides me to a world of welth. Say hi to the IT Security Manager when you see him, cause he doesn't see me sneaking in.
Anyway, with an uplink to the home-office and access to online tools I can start my project... if I get hold of the people who are responsible for this.
Another day in paradise I presume.

A new project for a new customer is exciting...

Today I started as developer for a big customer in Brussels for a specific project. Since a long time I took the train to work, experiencing the usual delays and the vast amount of commuters.

But hey, it's a fun project by reading the functional analysis. So, when I've contacted several key persons, I can start my technical analysis. Hopefully I can do this by the end of this month.

The only downside I experienced was that at the customer's location, no space was available for me to work, nor was there a network connection available. But if luck is on my side, I'll be online by the end of this week.
